DIY No-Sew Camera Bags

Since I've been on a crafting kick lately, I thought I'd repackage our DIY camera bag tutorial from last year.  These are super easy to make and inexpensive to boot.   All you need is a cute bag, some 1" high density foam (found at Michaels or Joann Fabrics), a hot glue gun, scissors, and a bit of time.   And you can whip up something like this:

While I don't have a step by step tutorial photographed for you here, making one is easy.  

Here is what you will need:

• Stylish purse that will hold your camera and a few favorite lenses (I found mine at Marshalls for under $25)
• 1" High Density Foam (approx. $7)

• Scissors
• 1/2 yard of cute fabric
• Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks ($4.00 for glue)
• Optional:  Cardboard for base (cereal box will do)

The Steps:

1.  Cut 3 foam pieces that are the length  of the sides of your bag and the bottom of the bag.  

2. Wrap each piece (like a present) using your material (1/2 yard should be enough for this project) and hot glue to secure.  

3.  Cut smaller pieces as dividers (based on the width and height of your purse) and wrap them in your fabric as well.    

4.  Optional:  Cut a piece of cardboard that is the same size as the base.  Glue the base piece of foam to the cardboard before wrapping in fabric.  This helps give a little extra bit of protection to the bottom of your bag.
