Friday Finds--@Eye-Fi Mobile X2 Memory Card

I never thought I'd be so excited about an SDHC card, but I am.  I recently had the opportunity to try out the Eye-Fi  Mobile X2  wireless memory card and uploading photos from my Nikon s8100 to my computer couldn't be easier!

How does it work?  The Eye-Fi card is a wireless memory card that is compatible with over 1,000 cameras (unfortunately they don't have a compact flash version, yet) and allows you to effortlessly transfer photos and videos to your iPhone, iPad, Android device or computer.   To see if your camera is compatible check out  their list of cameras here.

Anyway, setting up my camera to use this amazing card was quick and easy.  The included guide provided clear and simple directions and within 10 minutes my photos were flying from my camera to my computer--like magic!

As a Macbook user, I was thrilled to see that I could adjust the settings so that my photos automatically loaded into iPhoto.  And sharing photos online was a snap too.  I was able to choose from 20 different online sites including, Flickr, Picasa, Facebook, Zenfolio and YouTube.

But what I  think  I love most about this card is that I can automatically upload photos to my computer without having to hunt around for my USB cord.    Hooray!
