Create Your Own Halloween Ghost Photos

With Halloween just a week away, we thought it would be fun to create some ghost photos.  Making them is really easy!  You just need Photoshop or Photoshop Elements and some basic knowledge of layering photos.

Similar to creating the levitation photos we featured a few weeks back, you will first want to take a picture of your background without your subject in it.  Using a tripod is very helpful, because your next step will be to have your subjects enter the scene for the next image.

Next have your subjects enter the scene and snap a photo.......

Now using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, you will layer the images one on top of the other and adjust the opacity.  Note lining the images up can be a bit tricky and this would have been easier in my images above, if I did not have such a busy background.  But hopefully, you get the gist. :)  Adjusting the color to black and white, helps add to the spooky effect.

Here is another example where I took a silhouette photo and after making a duplicate layer, I used a gaussian blur filter to blur out the subjects creating another eerie effect.
