I was fortunate to receive this orange print, classic strap to review.  Deciding on a pattern was difficult....there were so many great prints to choose from.   After much deliberation, I decided on the orange, retro design.  It reminded me of the camera strap on my dad's old Minolta XG1.

As soon as the box arrived, I was so excited to open it up and attach this strap to my camera.  What I noticed right away was that the strap is very durable (it is made to withstand up to 70 lbs).  It feels much more substantial than the strap that came with my camera.  Another great feature, is the plush minky lining that feels terrific around my neck.  Super soft!

What I also love about Mod, is the story behind the company.  Mod was founded by a mother daughter team of Jeannie Cheatham and Amber Clay.  Amber, an avid photo enthusiast, was searching for a new camera strap and could only find low quality, basic styles.  She decided to create her own strap covers using vibrant colors and began sewing them on her grandmother's old sewing machine with Jeannie's help.

They soon realized that photographers wanted not just strap covers but durable and stylish camera straps and they soon began looking for a manufacturer in the U.S.  The response to their line was tremendous and soon their straps and accessories were carried in stores throughout the world.  You can read the full story here.....I'm sure you will be amazed and inspired by it.
