Free Templates by Denise George--Friday Finds

I love the I Heart Faces community boards.  Not only is it a great place to get advice from anything to which lens to add to your collection to marketing ideas it is also a great place to find all kinds of freebies.

A few weeks ago while browsing through the site, I stumbled upon some terrific templates by Denise George.  She has generously posted many different templates you are sure to love.   Adorable baby books, senior cards, and Valentine's Day templates can be found on her website.  To find the beautiful vintage 5x5 album shown above click here.

We loved her designs and photography so much, that she will be featured on our Behind the Lens series next week.  So be sure to check back on February 15 to learn more about this talented photographer!

FRIDAY PHOTO FINDS: HOW ISO AND EXPOSURE AFFECT NOISE

We are introducing a new feature, called FRIDAY PHOTO FINDS.  Our FABULOUS FIND today is from Everyday Elements.  This site is run by Amanda, a homeschooling mom of four children.  Where does she find the time to create such amazing tutorials and Element Templates and Actions?

She recently wrote about ISO.  ISO stands for "International Organization for Standardization" and is taken from the Greek word "isos", meaning equal. ISO has replaced the older ASA term.

ISO is an indicator of the film's sensitivity to light.   Nowadays, more cameras are digital and fewer use actual film.  ISO still refers to the sensitivity to light coming into the camera.  To get an excellent overview of what ISO is, how it affects "noise" (the graininess in photos), please link to Amanda's tutorial here on EVERYDAY ELEMENTS.
