Well, I've decided that I want my OWN space. I'm tired of stepping over lunch boxes, binders, and backpacks. I want a place where I can edit photos without having to kick kids off the computer and I want a peaceful spot full of my own clutter where I can work and create.
So our guest room is becoming my studio (don't worry mom and dad, we still have space for you when you visit). And I have decided to paint it white. I was inspired (once again) by Kim Klassen and her all white studio and also by some great office spaces I saw on Pinterest.
You'd think picking out white paint would be easy but let me tell you it is not. There are so many shades out there. I didn't want a white with grey, pink, or yellow undertones. And I didn't want a builder's grade looking shade either. So I opted for Benjamin Moore's Mascarpone. It is a white with a hint of cream....not too creamy. It seems just right.
I've enlisted my four kids to help me paint my new space and we are almost done. Unfortunately, I ran out of paint last night (who knew that one gallon wouldn't cover this small room?). So stay tuned....I'll be posting pics soon of my new studio. I'm so excited!!

I love watching a work in progress...especially when someone else is doing the work. ;)
